TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made from The Urban Company, whether online or in-store, and apply to all current and future trading locations.

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms in full.

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.

These Terms represent the entire agreement between you and The Urban Company and supersede any prior discussions, representations or agreements unless confirmed in writing.

2. Orders & Acceptance

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.

We reserve the right to cancel or decline any order in the event of:

  • Pricing errors

  • Stock discrepancies

  • Suspected fraudulent activity

  • Payment authorisation issues

An order confirmation does not constitute legal acceptance until goods are dispatched or confirmed ready for collection.

We may deliver goods in instalments. Each delivery shall constitute a separate contract and failure to deliver one instalment shall not entitle you to cancel the remaining order.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT unless otherwise stated.

Full payment is required prior to dispatch unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Deposits secure stock and confirm your commitment to purchase. Deposits are non-refundable once goods have been ordered, allocated, or production has commenced.

Quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

Only one promotional code may be used per transaction. Discount codes may not be combined or stacked.

We reserve the right to recover any outstanding sums owed to us, including reasonable costs incurred in pursuing unpaid balances.

4. Product Information & Batch Variation

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, specifications and images are accurate.

However:

  • Colours may vary due to screen settings and lighting

  • Natural materials may vary in tone, grain or texture

  • Minor batch variation may occur

We cannot guarantee colour or batch consistency between separate orders. Customers must order sufficient quantity in one transaction to complete their project.

It is your responsibility to ensure products are suitable for your intended use before purchase.

5. Title & Risk

Risk passes to you upon delivery, collection, or when goods are made available for dispatch.

Ownership of goods remains with The Urban Company until full payment has been received.

6. Delivery

Delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

We are not liable for delays caused by suppliers, couriers, weather, or circumstances beyond our control.

Customers should not arrange installation or book fitters until goods have been received and inspected.

We are not responsible for labour costs, missed appointments, project delays or consequential losses arising from delivery delays.

Any claims relating to damage, shortage or visible defects must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with supporting evidence.

7. Inspection & Installation

All goods must be inspected thoroughly prior to installation.

Installing goods with visible defects will be deemed acceptance of those goods.

Once goods have been installed, cut, altered or used, they are considered accepted unless a verified manufacturing defect exists.

We are not liable for costs associated with removing, reinstalling or replacing products.

8. Returns & Cancellations

Returns and cancellations are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy and Online Sales Policy where applicable.

Purchases made in-store do not carry a statutory cooling-off period.

Special-order, bespoke and clearance items are non-returnable unless faulty.

9. Independent Fitters

Where installation is arranged through us, it is carried out by independent third-party contractors.

We act solely as a facilitator and are not responsible for workmanship, installation delays, or third-party disputes.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the goods purchased.

We are not liable for:

  • Installation or labour costs

  • Loss of earnings

  • Project delays

  • Indirect or consequential losses

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

11. Staff Authority

No employee or representative of The Urban Company is authorised to vary these Terms or make binding promises unless confirmed in writing by a director.

12. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for failure or delay in performance due to events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to supplier disruption, transport issues, strikes, or extreme weather.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Northern Irish courts.
